Alan VanderMolen is Co-Founder and Driver of Dutch Brothers Racing, an Abu Dhabi-based motorsport team built around a simple belief: it is never too late to take on something difficult and see how far you can go.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, Alan has spent 35 years living and working across Europe, Asia, and the Gulf. He continues his career in communications and leadership while pursuing racing early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
Alongside co-founder Jon de Jager, Alan is taking on the challenge of becoming a competitive race driver. Their journey from novices to the starting grid is the heart of DBR: real people, real progress, and the occasional reminder that enthusiasm is no substitute for braking technique.
Alan brings to racing a belief in preparation, teamwork, resilience, and continuous learning. DBR makes its Gulf ProCar debut on 24 October 2026, with the Gulf 12 Hours in 2028 the longer-term ambition.
